I was just thinking about how different my mindset is now that I am working. When I was a student, I got a bursary from the company that I am currently working for. At the end of every year, we had to do vacation work, both for the University and the company. I used to think "Geepers, six weeks, how am I going to cope?". And then during my time there I would think "Aaargh, still 3 weeks to go!!".
Now, I have been working for the same company for almost two years, and instead I find myself thinking "Wow, already 1.5 years down."
I think it has to do with the fact that you adapt to a new environment and routine, but I also think that it has to do with a mindset change. When I was at university, I used to think in a certain way, used to being able to do what I want, when I wanted. Where as now I understand that it is my place to be at work.
Just a brief rambling. I find things like this interesting.
